CanvasHQ creates beautiful hangable canvas artwork from your high-resolution photos! CanvasHQ uses solvent-based inks that are waterproof and fade resistant. They also use artisan-quality canvases that won't warp or break. CanvasHQ canvases last longer than typical canvas art because they do not use watercolors which fade over time and are ruined by moisture. I jumped at the chance of reviewing this product in exchange for one canvas.
There is no reason to worry that your canvas might not be what you expected. CanvasHQ sends you a digital proof to your email that you are able to approve or deny and ask for changes. You are also able to request that they remove any red-eye that may be in your photo! You can be sure that the colors are on point as well! A traditional printer uses 4 colors for colored prints, CanvasHQ uses 8! This means that they are able to create more colors to match the photograph that you have provided them with.
What is the ordering process like?
First, you visit their website and click the "start a canvas" button at the top of the page. You will then be able to upload a photo from your computer or from your Facebook account. After you have selected your photo you are able to choose the orientation of your photo. Options here include portrait, square, and landscape. Choosing a size is next. You can use one of their pre-created sizes or create your custom size. Choosing the boarder is next! You can choose to have the photo continue onto the boarder, or make the boarder a color to fit the decor of our room. The next option, frame depth, allows you to select how thick you want your canvas to be, this is how far it will stick off of the wall. The next option allows you to choose the finish of the photo, here you will select if you want the canvas finish to be matte, semi glossy, or glossy. Next, you are able to choose an effect. These include black and white, sepia, colorful glow, and more. After you have finished these steps you get to name your canvas and tell the company of any special instructions. In the special instructions box you could type "remove red eye" if needed.
This is my original photo, taken at a beach in Maine last summer!
This is how I requested my photo:
As you can see, I requested a landscaped orientation, size 14" x 11", image wrapped, 1.5 frame depth, semi-gloss finish, with no image effects.
This is the digital proof they sent me a day later:
It was recommended to me that I use a higher quality image, but I did not have a better one. I really loved this photo and chose to stick with it. I approved the proof them received the canvas within just a few days!
Here is the canvas I received:
I love this canvas because now I am able to display a happy memory right in my home. The quality of the canvas and photo is pretty nice. I wish I could have taken a better photo, but I broke my awesome camera and had to take a photo with my phone. This photo does the canvas no justice. It came out beautifully. I really like that the canvas came with all of the hardware that would be needed to hang it.
